Matcha Latte

Ingredients

1.5 tsp matcha powder (about 3 grams)

60 ml (2 oz) hot water (about 75–80°C / 170–175°F)

180 ml (6 oz) milk or plant-based milk (oat, almond, soy, etc.)

Sweetener to taste (honey, maple syrup, or sugar) — optional
Instruction

Sift the matcha powder into a bowl or cup to remove clumps.

Add hot water and whisk using a bamboo whisk (chasen) or milk frother until smooth and slightly frothy.

Heat and froth the milk (optional: sweeten it).

Stir or layer as desired, and enjoy your matcha latte hot or iced.
